Aramid Fiber Fabric

Fibertex aramid fibers are developed for applications that require high mechanical and thermal strength and lightness. Recognized for their durability under extreme conditions, they are ideal for structural reinforcement and protection in various industrial sectors.
The Fibertex® aramid fiber fabric, widely used in the market as plastic reinforcement, has several advantages over other fibers. We should always remember that the choice of fiber to be used in reinforced plastic or composite must always be based on the goal and needs of the final application.
The Fibertex® aramid fiber fabric combines high impact resistance, excellent stiffness and low specific weight, allowing less material to be used to achieve the same mechanical characteristics.
It is resistant to cracking; it increases the rigidity of the structure; it has high energy absorption and low elongation; it does not corrode in fresh or salt water and is incombustible.
The Fibertex® aramid fiber fabrics used in the composition of reinforced plastics are structured in unidirectional and bidirectional forms in different weave patterns (patterns: plain weave, twill, 8HS twill, etc.) and various weights (178 g/m² to 465 g/m²).
Table of specific energy absorption capacity (mN/tex)
The impact resistance of laminates depends on several factors, one of which is the energy absorption capacity of each fiber. The chart below illustrates these values.

Benefits and Differentiators:
- High tensile and impact strength.
- Thermal stability at high temperatures.
- Excellent chemical and wear resistance.
- Lightness, providing greater structural efficiency.
- Versatility for use in composites and reinforcements.
