Yarns and Cords

Fibertex® fiberglass yarns and cords are twisted, joining several plies or not, used in the manufacture of pultruded profiles and in the manufacture of pipes by the filament winding process with epoxy resin, which provides high dielectric strength and high mechanical strength; coil tying is also another application of the yarns and cords.

Fibertex® fiberglass yarns and cords are packaged on plastic bobbins weighing from 500 g to 5,000 g. The yarns should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated place on wooden pallets, with a maximum stacking of three boxes. They must be transported packaged, properly secured, and duly protected against the weather to avoid damage.

Aramid Yarns and Cords

Fibertex® aramid yarns and cords are widely used as reinforcement for telephone and fiber optic cables, keeping them from stretching, enabling long spans, extending cable service life, and ensuring reliable connectorization. They are also applied as external sheathing on thermocouples and electrical cables to protect against temperature and against small welding spatter or incandescent sparks.
