They are made of high thermal-resistance fabric (they withstand up to 500 °C), depending on their composition. 100% fire-retardant. When thrown over a person or object that is on fire, the Fibertex® fire-retardant blanket cuts off the oxygen supply and quickly extinguishes the flames. Their uses are numerous, such as: homes, industrial kitchens, restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, concert venues, burning cars, boat engines, splashes of molten metal, and more.

The blanket is not affected by most acids and corrosive agents. Exceptions are hydrofluoric and phosphoric acids and concentrated alkalis. It performs well in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. If it gets wet, the thermal and physical properties of the Fibertex® fire-retardant blanket are restored after drying.
Easy to handle because it is very flexible, lightweight, and easy to fold and transport.
